Re: [D2D] New POD for paperbacks

Ah, thanks Joe and Sarah.

I agree with Joe in that there may not be an advantage to this rather than going to IS directly, but it is good to know.

Re: [D2D] New POD for paperbacks

Hi Joe, Hmmmm... On D2D's FAQ, I see this: ______________________________________________ Will you really turn my book into a paperback? We have phased out our print distribution through CreateSpace. We do create paperback-ready PDF files for any books that use our conversion service (that is, every...

I'm not sure, but last time they had a NaNoWriMo special, it did.

[IngramSpark] IS free for the next five months

Hi everyone,

I just got an email from IngramSpark with a promo code for NaNoWriMo: "NANO". Print and email books can be submitted for free.

What's different about this one is that it lasts until the end of March, 2019.

NIce!

Re: [POD] Support, and support for right-to-left languages

I've written to them a few times and they've responded within a few days. Not super fast but they didn't ignore it.

I've never called them on the phone.

Re: [POD] Print-on-Demand publishing for non-Latin alphabets

Hi Barry, I do have some titles in Arabic, which is a right-to-left language. Sadly, two things: 1. The barcode will always go on the left-spine cover, which will be the front cover of a RTL book. 2. The thumbnail will always be generated from the right-spine cover, which will be the back cover of a...

Re: [POD] Print-on-Demand publishing for non-Latin alphabets

Hi Barry, I switched from Createspace to IngramSpark. I publish technical books in various languages, including Japanese. I've had no problem with IS or their interface, and the one time I had a question they got back to me with an answer the next day. The drop down menu of supported languages looks...

Re: [KDP] KDP account terminated

Yes, that was my evil plan, to disappoint their customers! Bwahaha! It's a technical book with some hairy-looking math formulas in it. But, all the fonts were embedded, it was a carefully reviewed pdf, and printed without problems from CS. I also submitted the same interior file to IngramSpark and i...
